LEON opens first site outside UK

Naturally fast food chain LEON has opened in Schiphol Airport Plaza, Amsterdam.

Opening the doors on Sunday 3 July, LEON chose the airport to begin its European journey with a menu of classic dishes that have been available since the very first restaurant opened in 2004.

With dishes such as the Moroccan Meatball Hotbox, Fish Finger Wrap and Original Superfood Salad, LEON will continue to source produce as locally as possible.

Besides the Spanish chorizo, all ingredients will be sourced in the Netherlands for the Schiphol site.

“Amsterdam, we’re on our way,” says LEON co-founder and CEO John Vincent.

“I spent most of my childhood holidays in Holland so I’m very happy to be going back and reliving those happy memories.

“The Dutch are almost as funny as the English so we’ll have to keep our jokes as fresh as our food.”
