Restaurant and lounge group Caramel is launching its first UK site on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, at the end of March.
The 120-cover restaurant will offer a signature menu crafted by chef Sunil Vaz. Dishes include TNT shrimp, petite beef sliders and lobster tempura.
Throughout the day, breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea and desserts will be available, offering finger sandwiches to chicken sweet potato hash.
The drinks list will be primarily made up of cocktails chosen by mixologist Bryan Pietersen and wines curated by Caramel’s own Edgar Lagassi and wine expert Christopher Cooper.
The design of the restaurant comes from Bishop Design LLC, which has chosen backlit onyx trims, marbled surfaces, Italian ceramic tiles and copper and brass.
“The Caramel restaurant and lounge concept has proved overwhelmingly popular internationally and I’m confident that the stylish and upmarket brand will fit in very well in Knightsbridge,” says Caramel Group founder Mohammed Al Hashimi.
“Each individual site is unique and we tailor them to the locations that each of the restaurant lounges is situated in. At the London site, for example, we’ve added in an afternoon tea to our offering, providing Londoners and tourists alike with an unrivalled all-day food and drink offering in a stunning setting.”
