PizzaExpress relaunches its branded app

PizzaExpress is relaunching its app in a bid to enhance the restaurant-going experience for its customers.

The business updated the app to reflect customer needs and wants, and will allow users to pay for their meal at the table – something wagamama also recently introduced. The app will also allow customers to find their nearest restaurant, book a table and stay up-to-date on bespoke customer rewards.

Late spring will see the introduction of ‘click and collect’ functionality that will allow customers to order and collect their pizzas on the go. PizzaExpress is planning to roll out new features throughout the year, including augmented-reality features in the summer.

“We are always looking at ways we can improve our customers’ experiences and our new app will do just that,” says Timothy Love, senior marketing manager at PizzaExpress. “The ‘pay at table’ function is perfect for those who are short on time. By listening to our customers, we’ve understood what’s important to them and are introducing a more personalised service, including bespoke rewards. We are very excited about new initiatives that we’ll be unveiling later this year and we’re looking forward to a strong launch.”

The app will be available to all iPhone, Google and Android users.
