Chef and TV presenter Joe Hurd has been announced as host of the National Pizza Awards 2018.
Hurd, who is of Italian heritage but born in Yorkshire, has hosted the children’s cooking show The Munch Box on ITV and appeared on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and The Saturday Show on Channel 5.
He has also performed live cooking demonstrations at the BBC Good Food Show and his recipes can be found regularly in titles such as Delicious Magazine, BBC Good Food and the Radio Times.
His experience in restaurants includes working alongside chefs such as Francesco Mazzei, Claude Bossi and José Pizarro, and he has also worked behind the scenes on shows for Paul Hollywood and Heston Blumenthal.
The National Pizza Awards takes place Wednesday 3 October at the Islington Metal Works in London.
