This issue marks my one-year anniversary as editor, which means I’ve just about eaten my weight in burgers and pizzas alone over the last 12 months.
Judging two of the tastiest trade awards aside (did you notice entries for the National Pizza Awards are now open?), I’ve enjoyed getting deeper beneath the skin of the casual dining industry – speaking to more leaders in the field, witnessing brands rise and fall, and discussing the changes and disruptors as and when they happen. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed taking hold of this title. But this is my last issue as editor - I'll be Down Under by the time you read this.
