February is a month with love at its core. Dry January is a distant memory and operators are looking to St Valentine to sprinkle their businesses with sales sewn with soppy scenarios.
For the Casual Dining Magazine team, love was certainly in the air last month, as we delivered another year of the National Burger Awards, handily with the promotional tagline ‘for the love of burgers’. And my word, what a lot of love there was in the Islington Metal Works last month, as teams from across 16 hospitality businesses gathered to showdown and cook-off against each other in a bid to say that their business serves the best burger in the country.
