LEON has opened its first site, and 60th in total, in the United States.
The first US site for the naturally fast food chain is located on Washington DC’s L Street.
The food offer is similar to the UK, with Moroccan meatballs and sweet potato falafel, all priced under $10.
As with its London restaurants, the DC site is powered by 100% wind power sustainable energy, and uses compostable packaging where possible, including bags and paper straws.
“DC feels like the most special of starts to our US adventure,” comments LEON CEO and founder John Vincent. “We have found the people, community and culture of DC very inspiring. We hope we can do our bit to make it easier for Washingtonians to eat and live well.”
