Benito’s Hat has increased its central team with two new appointments to support expansion.
Colin Clarke has joined the board of directors in the newly created role of operations director, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the existing Benito’s Hat estate, as well as launching new sites.
Clarke’s experience includes Whitbread, Spirit Pub co and Paramount restaurants, before taking on senior roles at Smiths of Smithfield.
Jakina Matthews has come on board as finance director, replacing Georgina Cavendish.
Clarke and Matthews join on the back of the £1m additional funding acquired through investors late last year.
“The rest of the board and I are delighted to be enhancing our operational and financial capabilities at this exciting time in our brand’s journey,” says Benito’s Hat managing director Michael Pearson. “Colin and Jakina will ensure that our focus on core performance, customer experience and Shareholder return is unfaltering, allowing us to concentrate on delivering on our exciting growth plan.
“Our new flagship store in the O2 which opens in Q1 of 2019 will be our 10th and represents a significant milestone in our brand’s journey. We’re looking forward to Colin and Jakina supporting our onward journey from here.”
