Honest Burgers launched its newest restaurant yesterday in Liverpool Street, London.
Situated in the heart of the City at Old Broad Street, the 136-cover restaurant is Honest’s latest opening, following the launch of Manchester, Liverpool, London Bridge and Cardiff earlier this year.
As with all Honest Burgers restaurants, co-founders Tom Barton and Philip Eeles (pictured) will champion local suppliers, producers and traders at Liverpool Street. The duo have created a special burger in collaboration with local street food business Babek Brothers, and a cocktail in collaboration with local whisky bar Black Rock Tavern, who are offering special ‘coins’ for the first thousand sold. The coins can be exchanged for a double ‘Maker’s Mark’ in London’s first and only whisky vending machine at Black Rock Tavern.
“We only open restaurants in buildings we really love,” sqays Eeles. “There’s been a restaurant on this site for over 125 years – it’s got an old school vibe and a bright, open plan dining room with a big basement. And right next to Liverpool Street station too. We’re open till midnight Thursday and Friday, so no excuse to go home hungry after post-work beers.”
