Hixon Green, the New York-style café and wine bar, has acquired the former Aqua Restaurant in the south east market town Lewes.
Its primary operation is situated in Hove, but the brand plans to expand further, with the Lewes site marking the beginning of the rollout. The new unit is situated next to Loungers’ Fuego in a modern development, which forms part of the Premier Inn.
“We are very excited to bring our brand to Lewes, as we feel our New York-inspired space – offering great coffee, quality brunch, evening menus and a super cocktail and wine list – will complement the mix of strong local independent operators alongside high street operators that thrive in this busy town.”
Hixon Green also plan to open another site in Brighton in 2020. Kate Dowd of leisure property specialists Fleurets represented Hixon Green in the acquisition.
