Big Fernand, the Parisian-born burger business, has opened the doors to its first London site in South Kensington.
Since launching in Paris in 1993, the business is now established in China and the UAE.
The food focuses on French beef paired with cheeses, sauces and potatoes, all sourced from France. Anchored by ‘Le Big Fernand’, a beef patty served on a brioche bun, Tomme de Savoie cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, parsley and Big Fernand cocktail sauce (£9.50), the hamburgé menu runs to nine options.
Unusually for a burger restaurant, Big Fernand will serve a light breakfast menu too, covering continental breakfast essentials such as freshly made French pastries; Tartine or Ficelle beurrée bread baked on site; hard-boiled or scrambled eggs; yoghurts; and fruit salads. Breakfast will be launching next month.
