Red Dog Saloon, the barbecue concept originally founded by Tom Brooke in Hoxton, has launched a new brunch menu at its Soho and Southampton restaurants.
In response to the 10pm curfew for hospitality, its Soho and Southampton sites are now open earlier, serving the new menu from 9am until 1pm.
The new menu is inspired by Austin barbeque flavours and the Mexican street food scene, including huevos rancheros, a dish loaded with tortillas, eggs, queso fresco, avocado and pinto beans; and tacos de desayuno, Red Dog’s take on the classic breakfast taco with scrambled eggs and chorizo.
Other brunch dishes include smoked brisket hash; buttermilk blueberry pancakes with whipped butter and maple syrup; the American fry with home fries and smoked pinto beans; and Red Dog’s version of an acai bowl using açai na tigela, the Brazilian super berry from Pará and Amazonas.
Guests can wash the new brunch items down with a signature Red Dog Mary cocktail, or a choice of smoothies, juices and hot drinks.
Social distancing measurements in place at the restaurants include include track and trace codes, one-use menus, a one-way system throughout and spaced out tables.
